Different Style Shelves: Decorating the Walls
The first thing is to think about installing shelves is safety. Be sure to check out safety guidelines before buying and adding nursery shelves. It’s a good idea to select shelves that will convert to good use as the child grows from infancy to the toddler stage. Planning ahead now will really pay off in the future.
As shelves are worth investing in because they serve as excellent storage areas and help to keep the room clean and tidy. Choose shelf colors for the nursery that will coordinate with other items in the room such as the walls, bedding, or curtains. Storage space can be expanded by building additional shelves or adding extra clothes rods for the closet. There are many simple do-it-yourself kits for making shelves for beginners as well as experts.
Discovering More Space
Parents may feel that every inch in their child’s room is filled, and there is not a centimeter to put one more thing, but with a keen eye and determination, parents may discover space for just about anything. A closet is a space dedicated to storage, consider filling a big box of unused items on the top closet shelves. If the child is small, put the things that they will get themselves at a lower level than that for older children. If more hanging space is required, then simply add more shelves, drawers and boxes for storage. By adding shelves 12" to 18" below the ceiling around the room or just on one wall, will offer lots of display space and storage area. Children can access these areas easily and safely.
Colorful Shelves to Decorate Rooms
If you need items stored out of sight, use color-coordinated storage boxes and place on shelves. Carefully mark each box with its contents by using a label maker or press-on letters. Baskets are also creative junk holders to store things out of reach. To make baskets more decorative, use a color-coordinated spray paint to coat the basket to match the room's décor, or tie pretty wired bows on baskets or boxes for an added touch of creativity.
